How to feel more confident at the gym?

Have you motivated yourself to go to the gym for the very first time yet you are feeling a bit stressed before that big day? Or maybe you have already had your first visit but you didn't feel comfortable at the gym at all? We have all been there. 

 

We understand your fears. Everything is new, you are waaaaaaay out of your comfort zone and you have this constant feeling that everyone is looking at you – it can be scary.

 

Here are some tips that will help you break that psychological barrier and feel more relaxed whilst at the Gym. 

 

If you have any questions – ask staff for help

 

At Diva the staff is always there to help you. Stupid questions don’t exist. So if you don’t know how to use the equipment correctly, whether you have a proper posture while training, or even if you simply feel lost and don’t know where the Zone that you are looking for is – ask. 

 

Don’t worry about others – no one really cares what you are doing 

 

We all tend to focus on ourselves too much. That’s wrong. That leads us to the constant feeling of being observed while we are doing something uncomfortable to us. Here’s a thing – everyone at the gym is doing their own stuff. So don’t feel stressed or scared that someone is looking at you. Besides, the Diva Gym community consists of wonderful women, always ready to help rather than impede your training. 

 

Take part in our group classes for beginners – you will feel part of the Diva community 

 

Our group classes are tailored to the skills of the participants. By taking part in activities with other women, you will make friends and feel more self-confident. Group activities are one of the main pillars of our training approach – and really work wonders! Remember about comfy sportswear – right fitness clothes and gear also improve confidence

 

Some say that there is nothing more motivating at the gym than a new kit. We think that when it comes to sportswear it’s not only about the fashion aspect – yet of course it is important too. Right activewear will help you perform better while keeping you comfortable. So remember to choose lightweight, breathing, materials that will allow you full range of movements.
